Review: There’s real warmth and “heart” in “Six Degrees to Nowhere” as we’re carried through the lives of a group of female friends, with all the ups, downs, triumphs and tragedies which can happen.
What’s particularly catching is that these girls are not unique, it could be anyone’s story. The secrets which happen behind closed doors, or the choices friends make that you know are wrong, but circumstance makes you helpless.
The characters are distinct and clearly outlined, I just felt the structure and formatting were its weakest points, as plot was sometimes confusing as we are taken from date to date, and through dialogue difficult to read and differentiate. The latter is an unfortunate tendency with some files at Smashwords, but easily corrected by following their formatting instructions. It was clear the author had a strong story they wished to tell, and one is left with the feeling that “Six Degrees to Nowhere” is almost a memoir or biography. It speaks strongly, yet not laboriously. It “tells it like it is” and lets you work out the ramifications.
