Born To Fly: You Save Me by Aliyah Burke

In the case of “Born to Fly: You Save Me” by Aliyah Burke, “as usual” is a very positive description because as usual I was impressed by the excellent pace, flow and power of this “slice of life” tale. The premise and characters immediately drew me in from the very first lines and the dialogue and vivid images created in my mind kept me interested until the very end.

Although Captain Garrick Stark initially came over as a single-minded bore even if he was supposed to be devilishly handsome and the descriptions of his often lusty state was in my opinion overplayed at times, Aliyah Burke seems to specialize in making me appreciate how a character can evolve with/by a writer’s skillful manipulation. He is eventually partnered by Delaney Byrd, another intelligent and compelling heroine by the author, though love is never easy to admit or surrender to.

I found the mix of believable characters, settings and situations with a natural progression of the relationship, not just varied sexual encounters, oustanding among other writers in the genre. Another great installment of erotic romance by Aliyah Burke which I believe fans and new readers can both appreciate.

Born To Fly: Landing In Love by Aliyah Burke

Review: I found myself drawn into “Born to Fly: Landing in Love” from the very first paragraph. The dialogue was snappy, the images vivid and the characters sensationally piqued my interest. Bliss and Erich, I knew, were the pair destined to be together somehow, someway—although it took some time for me to begin to like Erich. He was sexy, attractive and infuriating but in a way I could never entirely dismiss.

Although some expressions or phrases didn’t make sense to me, in particular the overuse of some words and descriptions and a few jumps in scene without enough explanation to keep one from slight confusion, they never seriously detracted for the mood and flow of the story as a whole because I was always compelled forward, curious to know what would happen in the end.

Without hesitation I would recommend this story to others interested in m/f erotic romance. Not just loaded with stirring sexual scenes and graphic detail, “Born to Fly” also has a strong story, powerful characters and crystal clear clarity which makes you feel like applauding after reading the final page. I would definitely be interested in other titles by Aliyah Burke.
